Before we start I wanted to make an inital post about the projec t as whole. More for timeline purposes, but also it's a good start to the project. I wanna just make this a place for me to freely talk. Although these blogs are meant for an assignment, I do believe this is a great jumpstart for my career.
All the seniors in the DAC are tasked with creating a short film for thier thesis. We start in our second semester of our Junior year and we have just started our thesis: Fighting Kites.
Without fully describing how I got to this point, I will just say...FINALLY!!! Figher Kites was really the only film I wanted to produce. It is going to have such a deep personal cultural tie to so many people and I am happy to participate. I don't want to explain the entire film but I know it will be great.
The past films have, for the most part, been sub-par. Especially last years. It's disappointing and intimidating seeing that happen. So far, our professors have told us we are far much better than them. But is that just what we want to hear or is it true?
My concerns are vast but my excitement is infinte.
