The school is now being built and has had some good progress on it. I was struggling a bit with the look of the school and I drew up a concept that I'm mostly okay with. I know we don't have too much time left, so I decided to just continue with this build knowing it can be edited later.
Before I did work on the modeling for the school, I did some work on the animatic. I was originally doing this very tediously. Let me explain, Aelma laid out the cameras in our actual sets. We have basically completely set up our village and house sets, but our main character and our side characters aren't completley finished, so we opted to use the unfinished versions and just pose them. Aelma did a great job setting up cameras for me to do work on the animatic, so once I started workong on them I qwuickly rewalized I had been doing way to much work. I was layouting out our 2D animation frame-by-frame. Here is that work:
To be fair, I already have figured out how to fix this: I am going to just make PNGs of stills and lay them over the shots in our Premire Pro file. This file is a growing and chaning file, it's where our newest and most current animatic is, and eventually where our final rendered shots are going to be.
I am currently going to be full steam ahead with this animatic, trying to complete the vast majority of it by Friday. No promises, but I feel confident.
