This week admittedly has been quite busy school-wise. I did, however, manage to get quite a bit of work done on the marketplace stands.
I realized that the bases I had originally made were quite stale and basic. It wouldn't match our film's aesthetic being so clean cut. So, I reattcked them making them more organic and creating more bases for the modular idea.
These are my original references:
These are my original stands for the makretplace:
These are the stands now:
It's not pictured well, but I also created some rugs/blankets for the ground since some vendors in the market place are going to be on the ground.
I also wanted to include how I attacked this "modular" idea.
Basically, each group can be duplicated to a different stand where it will fit it exactly. The groups are "modular." The highlighted group is the base, and everything around it is the ornamentation surrounding it are all moveable and completely adaptable.
Next week I am going to be attacking the modular buildings that Aelma sketched up. We are basically going to be modeling the buildings completely detached from each other. Meaning no walls will connect, so we can move walls around and create different buildings.
That's all, thanks!
