We have basically completed the layout. I do need to rereference some thing but everything for the most part, is there. With the layout and also some revision to the story boards, we have almost completely re-written the timeline of the film. There was too much back and fourth and with this new thinking, we figured out a way to tell the story efficently.
Aelma worked on boards quickly as we were all verbally discussing what we had in mind. It is our intro scene and our fight scene. Here are said boards:
With that said here is the layout of the village. It is used far less in the new boards but it is for the better.
Aelma and I have been working on this together and she is currently workong on setting up cameras as I am setting up individual scenes for each shot. Since we are working on that and have revised the majority of the story, here are the boards Aelma produced and also the animatic we currently have.
Ok I know that animatic is hard to watch, but with this audio I added in, it helped us to understand what a lot of our issues are cinematically and storytelling-wise. With this in mind, we also spent time finding a lot of audio and visual references that we are going to be using to our advantage.
That is basically all that we have worked on as a group and individually. As for now, I am going to be be working on layout still, including the house. After that I will be helping Aelma with the new animatic and I am going to start assessing our new hero asset: The School.
