This past two weeks were set up for the Production Pass this week. After it was postponed, we decided to not overload ourselves. Thankfully that worked out in my favor since I had a medical emergency this past weekend. What I could get done, however, was hero asset set up in pur interior scene.
Everything we have modeled has been referenced in the main scene and I worked on setting up the actual "set."
Clearly everyone has been working hard to be consistent with each other's style. There needs to be some editing but it has working out quite well.
This is the set up so far!
The other work I did was on the bird. We got critiq that the bird was a little off-putting and looked like a parakeet. Since the bird isn't actually there and it is instead a fighter jet. With that in mind I decided to come up with a design that was robotic but still had more organic shapes included. I used a lot of references from Gundamn and Horizon Zero Dawn. We are still figuring out a final design, but we do know we want it to be more robotic than anything.
One important feature is the wings being blades. We wanted the more mechanized part to have more funstion. Nothing completely makes sense, but there are for sure some functional parts.
With my medical issues I will be slowing down a bit on work but of course I will still have momentum. With the newer concepts and directions in our animatic I am excited for what is next!
